What is BeCompetent?

BeCompetent is a new competency management tool that gives organizations the ability to maintain (create, update, delete) a list of core competencies and Job-Specific competencies that link to the Jobs Hierarchy and can be grouped into Learning Plans. Users are attributed to Jobs to get a learning plan with competencies.

BeCompetent uses Moodle’s competency framework to support an organization’s need to track regulatory and legislative requirements for employees.

With Moodle as the LMS backend, organizations can bring their own content and use OERs. Content is tied to competencies. Completion of content and successful assessment results show a user has met the requirements for meeting a competency or compliance requirement.

Organizations use the enhanced reporting and dashboard features of BeCompetent to identify workforce skill gaps, individual skill gaps, individual and team professional development, succession planning, track progress toward KPIs, and support performance evaluations.

What is Competency Management?

Core competencies apply to everyone in your organization while key job competencies identify the abilities required for success and high performance in a particular role.
